Northwestern Tops UIC, 63-46

EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) — Bryant McIntosh scored 22 points and Alex Olah had 17 to lead Northwestern to a 63-46 victory over undermanned Illinois-Chicago on Monday.

McIntosh was 7-of-9 from the field and hit all six of his free throws for Northwestern (8-4). Olah hit 5 of 10 shots, 6 of 10 free throws, grabbed seven rebounds and had three blocks.

D'Juan Miller led Illinois-Chicago (3-10) with 14 points and seven assists.

Illinois-Chicago was without top scorer Jay Harris, averaging 15.8 points per game. He was a game-time decision because of a strained ligament in his right knee, which he sustained in practice on Sunday.

The Flames pulled as close as 45-38 on Jason McClellan's 3-pointer with 6:45 left in the second half. But Olah responded with a pair of free throws and the lead wasn't seriously threatened the rest of the way.
