Two Men Charged With Trying To Rob Same Pizza Deliveryman For Second Time

(CBS) -- Two Chicago men are in jail after allegedly trying to rob a pizza delivery man for the second time, reports WBBM's Mike Krauser.

Police got a call from a deliveryman at De Arcos Pizza on the 2800 block of E. 87th Street. He said someone just placed an order using the same phone number as the person who had robbed him last month. Police went along for the delivery and there were two men waiting in the 9200 block of South Manistee.

As police were talking to them, the driver called the phone and the officers heard it ringing in one man's pocket. The deliveryman said that was the person who robbed him about six weeks ago. Police say one of the suspects says they had a plan to steal the pizza and the man's money.

The Chicago Tribune identifies the suspects as 21-year-old Anthony Sutherland and 20-year-old Derrick Ewing, both of Chicago.
