Martellus Bennett Named To Pro Bowl As A Replacement

(CBS) Bears tight end Martellus Bennett has been named to the Pro Bowl, replacing Rob Gronkowski after his Patriots advanced to the Super Bowl.

Bennett led all NFL tight ends with 90 receptions, compiling 916 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 2014. It's his first trip to the Pro Bowl. His 90 catches also set the single-season franchise record for tight ends.

Bennett is the first Bears tight end to be named to the Pro Bowl since Hall of Famer Mike Ditka received the honor following the 1965 season.

Guard Kyle Long is Chicago's other representative in the Pro Bowl, which will be played Sunday in Gelndale, Ariz.
