Zagat Releases List Of Top 50 Chicago Restaurants
(CBS) -- Many of the usual suspects, and some unusual ones, show up in the latest ranking of Chicago's top restaurants, reports WBBM's Regine Schlesinger.
It's an eclectic list of fifty restaurants, compiled by Zagat, starting with the ritzy West Loop restaurant Avec, in the top spot and ending with Lou Malnati's pizzeria in fiftieth place. About Paul Kahan's Avec, Zagat describes its Mediterranean cuisine as absolutely delicious with inventive small plates including such delicacies as what it calls "life-changing stuffed dates." Rounding out the top ten in descending order, Grant Achatz's Alinea in Lincoln Park; Rick Bayless's Frontera Grill; Joes Seafood and Stone Crab; Katsu Japanese restaurant; Les Nomades; Next, another Grant Achatz restaurant; Longman and Eagle; Grace in the West Loop and another Japanese place, Arami.
