Further investigation revealed Ferrara was also responsible for several other robberies committed in the area, police said.

Ferrara was charged with seven felony counts of armed robbery with a firearm, six felony counts of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon, one felony count of attempted armed robbery with a firearm, two felony counts of theft, two felony counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and one misdemeanor count of failure to register a firearm, police said.

Ferrara, of the 6600 block of West 59th Street, is scheduled to appear in bond court Monday.
