Chicago Auto Show: Convertibles, Hybrids, Electrics -- And Really Expensive Cars

(CBS) -- There may be no better way to beat the winter blues than strolling around the Chicago Auto Show and looking at the latest convertibles.

But as CBS 2's Suzanne Le Mignot reports, they're not the only story this year. The exposition features the latest hybrid and electric vehicles.

The 2016 Chevy Volt is a hybrid loaded with safety features, including a "collision avoidance" system and 10 airbags. But you can go 50 miles on one charge before the gasoline engine kicks in.

With Illinois tax incentives, the Chevy Volt can cost you about $23,000. Then there's the 2015 Cayenne SE-Hybrid by Porsche, starting at about $76,000.

If money and miles per gallon are not a problem for you, there's the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse. Price tag: $2.6 million.

"You get a state-of-the-art car. Nobody else is going to have this car," Gisel Jimenez of Perillo Bugatti says.

There are only two in the U.S. Each was made by hand.
