Man Charged With Shooting Woman In Pilsen
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Authorities have charged a man with the shooting of a 22-year-old woman on Monday night in the Pilsen neighborhood.
Carlos Luna, 18, faces felony counts of reckless discharge of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon for the shooting that happened about 8 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Leavitt Street, police said.
The woman was inside a vehicle when she was shot in the back. A friend drove her to Stroger Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
Luna, of the 2000 block of West 18th Place, is scheduled to appear in bond court on Wednesday, police said.
