Lake Villa School Bus Carrying Three Kids Involved In Rollover Accident

(CBS) -- A school bus carrying three kids rolled over on Grand Avenue in Lake Villa Wednesday afternoon, according to the Lake Villa School District superintendent.

The three children were treated at the scene and their injuries do not appear to be serious, according to Lindenhurst Police Commander Tony Fikejs.

The accident occurred at around 3:08 p.m. after the bus driver had finished her route. The driver is the parent of the three kids that were on board.

The accident appears to be the result of a mechanical issue with the bus but the cause remains under investigation.
