Chicago Cops Rescue Man Who Stopped Breathing
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two Chicago Police officers rescued a man who couldn't breathe Tuesday afternoon in West Englewood.
The officers were responding to an emergency medical service call of a man not breathing about 4:45 p.m. in the 7100 block of South Marshfield, according to a statement from Chicago Police. The officers were met by the victim's family who said the man was not breathing.
The officesr worked in tandem and placed the 67-year-old man on the floor while one of them initiated CPR, reviving the man as a result, police said.
The man was taken to University of Chicago Hospital, where his condition stabilized.
Both officers are two-year veterans and work in the Englewood District.
