CHICAGO (STMW) -- At least six people were shot in the city on Thursday, including three boys.

A 16-year-old boy was wounded in the most recent shooting in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

A gray or silver truck pulled up near the boy in the 1100 block of East 72nd Street, and a male inside fired shots toward him, police said. The truck then drove off.

The boy was shot in the leg and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.

A half-hour earlier, another boy—described only as a juvenile—was shot in the South Side Grand Boulevard neighborhood.

He was walking in the 300 block of East 49th Street at 3:35 p.m. when he was shot in the shoulder, police said. He was taken to Comer Children's Hospital in good condition, police said.

Additional details were not known.

A Far South Side shooting 15 minutes earlier left a teenage boy wounded.

The shooting happened in the 13100 block of South Langley at 3:20 p.m. in the Riverdale neighborhood, police said.

The 17-year-old took himself to Roseland Community Hospital with at least one gunshot wound to the buttocks, police said. He was in good condition.

A man was shot on the Northwest Side just after noon in the Dunning neighborhood.

The 23-year-old saw two males yelling gang slogans in his direction in the 6200 block of West Grace about 12:15 p.m., then heard gunshots, police said.

He was shot in the right leg and was in good condition, police said. The hospital he was taken to was not known.

Police said the victim is a documented gang member and the shooting is thought to be gang-related.

A man was hurt in a morning shooting inside a store in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 23-year-old was inside a store in the 1200 block of West 69th Street about 9:15 a.m. when he was shot, police said.

He was shot in the shoulder and abdomen, and taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, police said.

A police source said the victim, a self-admitted gang member, is not cooperating with investigators. The shooting is thought to be gang-related.

Police could not confirm reports that the shots were fired from outside the store.

Thursday's first shooting happened overnight, critically injuring a 24-year-old man in the South Chicago neighborhood.

About 1:40 a.m., the man was sitting in the driver seat of a car parked in the 8100 block of South Oglesby when someone walked up and opened fire, police said.

He was shot multiple times and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said.
