Funeral Services Set For Rev. Willie Barrow

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Funeral services have been set for Rev. Willie Barrow, a civil rights icon known for always speaking her mind and getting what she wanted -- even in death.

Purple and black bunting hung from the façade of Rainbow PUSH Coalition headquarters on Friday, in memory of the woman known as "The Little Warrior."

Barrow's pastor, Rev. Jerald January, of Vernon Park Church of God, spoke about her final moments.

"She was almost non-verbal, but the nurse heard her yelling in the room. She was looking at somebody. She said, 'Just wait. I'll be there in a minute.' Only Reverend Barrow could make heaven wait," he said.

January said Barrow left specific instructions for her funeral, including that he perform the eulogy, and only a few people speak.

"She's still ordering people around," he said.
