Thompson Square, Josh Turner Sing the Praises of Miranda Lambert's ACM-Nominated Song 'Automatic'

Miranda Lambert is well acknowledged by the Academy of Country Music Awards—earning noms in eight categories at this Sunday's awards show—and it seems her country peers can't help but also sing her praises.

Thompson Square and Josh Turner opened up to Radio.com about why Lambert is so deserving of her accolades and how her single "Automatic" touched them.

"First of all, I’m a massive Miranda fan," Thompson Square's Shawna Thompson gushes. "I remember the first time hearing 'Automatic.' All the memories and the things she talks about—recording the Top 40, driving your grandpa’s truck with three-on-the-tree. It’s a great song. It’s really visual."

Her husband Keifer agrees, saying that he instantly connected with the song's reference points. "It’s a country song," he says. "It talks about country things. How 'bout that?"
