Report: Bears To Host WR DeVante Parker For Visit

(CBS) After trading Brandon Marshall to the New York Jets, the Bears' wide receiver depth chart took a hit.

Signing receiver Eddie Royal in free agency gives the Bears the shifty slot receiver they've lacked, but the need for younger talent at the position is primary draft need. Fortunately for the Bears, the receiver class in the upcoming draft is loaded with talent.

Having already hosted Alabama's Amari Cooper and West Virginia's Kevin White, the Bears will bring in Louisville's DeVante Parker, per a report from the Chicago Tribune's Rich Campbell.

Parker was a four-year performer for the Cardinals who averaged nearly 18 yards per catch over his collegiate career. At 6-foot-3 and 209 pounds, he's an intriguing size-to-speed prospect. While most rank Parker behind Cooper and White, he still has the traits of a potential centerpiece for a team's passing attack.

Parker projects as a top-15 selection.
