CHICAGO (CBS) — Police in west suburban Lombard were taking no chances, sending extra officers to Glenbard East High School, after rumors of some type of violence.

Glenbard East Principal Josh Chambers told parents the rumors were never specific. They alluded to a shooting, or possibly blowing up the school, but after investigating the rumors, officials concluded students and staff are not in danger.
