Skyline Plungers Rappel Down Loop Hotel To Raise Money For Respiratory Health

(CBS) -- If you are were walking around the Chicago Loop area Sunday you may have noticed people rappelling down the side of a hotel at State and Lake, reports WBBM's Mariam Sobh.

Sheila Dalton took the Skyline Plunge with her son Kyle right off the side of theWit Hotel.

"This guy keeps trying to get me to jump out of a plane and I thought this would be a great way to contribute and do something a little more extreme without jumping out of a plane," Dalton said.

Rappelling down the 27 stories is a biannual event put on by the Respiratory Health Association. Organizers say the event is a fundraiser with proceeds going to activities that address lung cancer, COPD and asthma.

Another Skyline Plunge will take place in September.
