St. Charles North Dean's Assistant Charged With Sexually Assaulting Minor

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A dean's assistant at Saint Charles North High School has been arrested and charged with criminal sexual assault - accused of a sexual relationship with a student.

Kane County officials said 29-year-old Christopher Lee was arrested Wednesday, and charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault, and two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, all felonies

"Last week we got an anonymous tip. St. Charles Police followed up with our resource officer. They were able to determine that there was sexual contact between one of our employees and a student of ours," said St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 Supt. Dan Schlomann.

Schlomann said Lee was in his first year as dean's assistant at St. Charles North High School, and had been assistant basketball coach for five years.

Counselors were at the school to talk to students about the attack. Schlomann said the school is asking for help from students and the community to see if other students have been assaulted.

"We want to know that. So does the Kane County State's Attorney want to know that," he said.

Schlomann said Lee has been suspended without pay, and Monday night the school board will vote on firing him.
