(CBS) — A coach bus for a Gary casino plunged off a bridge Sunday morning.

WBBM’s Nancy Harty reports it was about 5:30 a.m. when a bus for Majestic Star Casino went off a bridge near the casino and was left hanging vertically, according to Gary Police Sergeant Tom Decanter.

“The Gary Fire Department went out and extracted from the vehicle,” Decanter said. “He was transported to North Lake Methodist Hospital in Gary where he is being treated.”

Decanter did not have a condition for the driver.

The bridge is under construction and police believe the driver may have taken a wrong turn.
