Festival In Highwood Celebrating Redheads
(CBS) -- Whether you're redhead by birth or from a box, there's a festival celebrating all things and people ginger this weekend in Highwood.
It is the first American Redhead Days Festival, loosely based on an annual event in Holland.
Organizer Jim Stoeker says some have come from as far away as Louisiana, Nebraska and New Mexico.

He says he publicized it online and by word of mouth and is amazed by the turnout.
"I have never been around so many red heads I mean except in Holland and there's just so many interesting people here," Stoeker said.
One day is left and there will be ginger-themed beer, drinks and goodies and a chance to be in a group photo with hundreds of other redheads
