WATCH: U.S. Marine Confronts Impostor At High School Graduation

(CBS) -- Video of a confrontation between a U.S. Marine from Indiana and another man who apparently was posing as one has gone viral.

Marine veteran Brandyn Skaggs was attending his younger brother's graduation from Noblesville High School on Tuesday, when he spotted a man wearing a Marine uniform, but he said it was all wrong. He said the man was wearing a non-commissioned officer's trousers, but a non-NCO's jacket, and the medals weren't in the right place, or in proper order.

His father was recording as Skaggs confronted the man, who said "none of your business" when asked about his unit.

Skaggs, who served with the U.S. Marines for four years, told the man what he was doing was wrong.

"It bothers me, and it bothers all vets really. I was just really happy to go actually say something to him," Skaggs told WISH-TV in Indianapolis.

His father posted video of the encounter on YouTube, and it's been viewed more than 113,000 times.

"You have friends that know the real you, or the fake you. What are they going to say?"

Anthony Anderson shared the video on his website, Guardianofvalor.com.

"For someone to pretend, it slaps these guys in the face," he said.

Skaggs told WISH-TV he thought the man was trying to impress his girlfriend. He said he hopes others who might pretend will think twice.

"You're going to get called out on it. You're not going to get away with it," he said.
