CHICAGO (CBS) — Patrick Sharp greeted a very important guest at his home on Tuesday afternoon.

Lord Stanley’s Cup came calling.

And the welcome mat was laid out and the door thrown wide open.

Sharp, accompanied by his family, carried the Cup into his North Side mansion, and it was promptly placed on a sun deck outside.

It appeared ready to party. And some of Sharp’s teammates arrived soon after.

The 2015 Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks were scheduled to make an appearance at Wrigley Field later Tuesday evening.

Before that, the Sharps got to spend some quality time with the trophy.
