Kiral was driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix southbound on Torrence at “a high rate of speed” at 8:50 p.m., according to a statement from Lansing police.

The Pontiac entered the intersection with 178th and crossed over into the northbound lanes as if it were making a U-turn, at which point it hit the front end of a 2000 Mazda, police said. The Mazda then hit a 2004 Chevrolet that was also northbound.
