Carol Stream Police Searching For Suspects Who Drained Town Center Fountain

(CBS) -- Police in Carol Stream are on the lookout for three people who drained tens of thousands of gallons of water from the Town Center fountain over the weekend.

Police say it happened around 11:30 p.m. Friday at the Ross Ferraro Town Center on the corner of Gary Avenue and Lies Road.

According to the village's Facebook page, they are looking for three people who are suspected of draining roughly 60,000 gallons of water and of activating the emergency shut off to the pumps.

Police consider this a criminal trespassing complaint and are asking for help identifying the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Kelly Lally at (630) 871-6219.
