Two Die Of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning In Skokie Garage
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two people died of carbon monoxide poisoning inside a north suburban garage early Saturday.
Crews responded to a call for assistance at a garage in the 8100 block of Keating Avenue about 5:45 a.m., according to Skokie police.
A 21-year-old man and 18-year-old woman were found dead at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. Their names still were withheld Sunday night pending family notification.
Autopsies on Sunday found they both died of carbon monoxide poisoning and their deaths were ruled accidents.
Police are conducting death investigations. No foul play is suspected.
