CHICAGO (CBS) — A report of shots fired brought traffic to a halt on the Eisenhower Expy. overnight.

Illinois State Police were called to the scene at Homan Avenue around 9:40 on Tuesday night.

Police closed the expressway and checked the pavement carefully for bullets, shell casing or any evidence of a shooting.

After the search, state troopers said there were no victims.

The Eisenhower is back open for the morning rush.
