Man Shot During Humboldt Park Robbery
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 62-year-old man was shot during a robbery Tuesday night in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.
The man was in the 3700 block of West Thomas Street at 11:57 p.m. when two males approached him, announced a robbery and one of them pulled out a handgun, police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines said.
The robbers took his wallet and shot him in the knee before running off, Gaines said. The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.
