CHICAGO (CBS) — An off-duty Chicago police officer has died, after a motorcycle crash earlier this week in the Washington Heights neighborhood.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 5:57 p.m. Tuesday, according to the medical examiner’s office.READ MORE: Chicago Weather: Cool Changes

Police were still awaiting toxicology results. Area South detectives were investigating.
