DEERFIELD (CBS) — After forcing two juveniles playing outside into a home, a group of armed men robbed an adult inside the house at gunpoint.

The robbery happened in on Inverrary Lane in unincorporated Deerfield on Thursday around 7:20 p.m., according to the Lake County Sheriff.

Three male black suspects pulled up in a vehicle and two of the suspects forced the two juveniles into the home. The two forced the two youngsters and an adult victim to the ground at gunpoint.

They then forced the adult to surrender $500 in cash and about $10,000 in jewelry.

Two of the suspects were captured on a surveillance system aiming a gun toward at least one of the victims.

The three then fled in their car, and no injuries were sustained.

The investigation continues through the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
