(STMW) — A person who was found dead in a burning car Wednesday afternoon in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side was shot in the head, an autopsy found.

The body of a black male was discovered in the vehicle after the fire was extinguished, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He remains unidentified as of Friday morning.READ MORE: Young Woman, 18, Dies After Being Shot In West Elsdon
An autopsy found the male died of a gunshot wound to the head and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.
