(CBS) In the past 11 months, the Cubs have had many memorable moments, culminating in a 97-win regular season that marked a turnaround and launching point for the franchise.

It started with the hiring of Joe Maddon last November, continued with the signing of Jon Lester in December and included a preseason prediction from Anthony Rizzo that a playoff berth was in the team’s future. Rizzo and Kris Bryant then brought the power all season, while Lester was steady throughout and Jake Arrieta turned into a star. Along the way, the Cubs had quality contributions for a handful of other rookies/youngsters, as well as veterans.

Take a listen to 670 The Score producer Nick Shepkowski’s montage of many of those top moments. The Cubs will play the most important game of their season Wednesday against the Pirates in the National League wild-card game.
