CHICAGO (CBS) — Here’s a not-so-hypothetical exercise: You are on an overbooked, midafternoon Southwest flight to Pittsburgh, hours before the Cubs and Pirates play.

The airline offers you an option: $300 and take the next flight, which arrives at 8:15 p.m.

First pitch in the NL wild-card game is shortly after 8 p.m. ET

What do you do?

David Axelrod, former Obama confidante and current director at the U. of C. Institute of Politics, has the answer, in this tweet.

For the record, Axelrod likes the Cubs’ chances behind Jake Arrieta’s arm.
