MCHENRY, Ill. (AP) — A teachers union in the northern Illinois community of McHenry has approved an agreement with the school district to end an eight-day strike.
McHenry Community High School Educators Association members ratified the contract Monday afternoon after reaching a tentative agreement over the weekend. The strike over teacher salaries and insurance benefits began Oct. 1 and involved more than 150 teachers at both high school campuses.
