Most recently, a 23-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 12700 block of South Parnell Avenue at about 10:30 p.m. when a man got out of a dark colored car and fired shots, police said.

An hour earlier, a 21-year-old man was standing on the sidewalk in the 1000 block of North Lavergne Avenue at 9:30 p.m. when two men got out of a dark colored car and fired shots, police said.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and abdomen, and was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

About 7:30 p.m., someone standing outside in the 11900 block of South LaSalle Street fired shots at a vehicle driving northbound on the block, according to police.

The shots missed the car and the woman, 23, who was standing on the other side of the street at the time, was struck in the right thigh, police said.

Police said the woman does not appear to have been the intended target of the shooting.

About 6:30 p.m., a 17-year-old boy was shot in the West Englewood neighborhood.

He was walking with a group of friends in an alley in the 2100 block of West 68th Street about 6:30 p.m. when two males walked up and opened fire, according to Chicago Police. The shooters then ran away.

The teenager was shot in the left buttocks and suffered a graze wound to the right arm, police said. He was taken in good condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.

Police said the shooting appears to be gang-related.
