Man Injured After Jumping Onto Blue Line Tracks In Logan Square
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was injured after jumping onto the tracks at the Logan Square CTA Blue Line station early Tuesday on the Northwest Side.
The man, thought to be in his 20s, jumped onto the tracks about 12:30 a.m. in an apparent suicide attempt, police said.
The man "made contact" with a train, according CTA spokeswoman Tammy Chase.
He was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
O'Hare-bound trains were temporarily halted at Logan Square and shuttle buses were provided for riders after the incident, according to the CTA. As of 1:37 am., service was resuming with residual delays.
