Texts Reveal Joe Gliniewicz Stress Over Fox Lake Finances: 'I Am Pretty Well F-----'

CHICAGO (CBS) -- As the investigation into the death of Fox Lake Police Lt. Joe Gliniewicz expanded, detectives began to examine text messages that indicate the officer was taking money from the town's Police Explorer training program.

Some of those texts were released at a news conference on Wednesday.

Gliniewicz killed himself in a "carefully staged" suicide two months ago after engaging in "extensive criminal acts" by stealing money from the village over several years

In one of the texts, Gliniewicz reveals to the former Fox Lake police chief, Michael Behan, that Fox Lake Village Administrator Anne Marrin was demanding a detailed accounting of the police training program that Gliniewicz oversaw:

"She has now demanded a complete inventory of exploder central and a financial report ... FML [f--k my life.]"

In another text to unnamed "Individual 2" Gliniewicz shows signs of stress over Marrin's questions about the Explorer program:

"She hates me ... hates the explorer program and is crawling up my ass ... if she gets a hold of the old checking account, I'm pretty well f---ed."

Here are some more details of texts that were released by investigators:
