Doug McDermott Replaces Tony Snell In Bulls' Starting Lineup

By Cody Westerlund--

(CBS) After an abysmal 25-point loss to the Hornets on Tuesday night, Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg has made in his starting lineup.

Second-year pro Doug McDermott has replaced Tony Snell at small forward as Chicago (3-2) hosts Oklahoma City (3-2) on Thursday night. It will be McDermott's first career start.

McDermott is averaging 10.2 points in 19.8 minutes per game. He's also shooting 60 percent from 3-point range. Snell is averaging 6.6 points and shooting 39 percent from the field.

McDermott's inclusion in the starting lineup means Derrick Rose almost certainly will draw the defensive matchup on explosive Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook, while Jimmy Butler figures to get the assignment on star Kevin Durant.

McDermott joins Rose, Butler, Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotic in the Bulls' starting lineup.
