Fire Destroys Memorial For Murdered 9-Year-Old Tyshawn Lee

(CBS) -- A memorial for nine-year-old Tyshawn Lee in the alley where he was killed was destroyed Sunday in an early morning fire, the Chicago Fire Department says.

The fire department determined that the fire was accidental. The memorial to Tyshawn Lee included some candles, stuffed animals, balloons and other items that were destroyed by the fire that the CFD says started around 3 a.m. in an alley near 80th and Damen.

A garage was also destroyed but no one was injured, the fire department said.

Police continue to look for Lee's killer, a person they say lured him into an alley and shot him execution-style to get back at his father. Police say that the father is not cooperating, which he has denied.
