Thanksgiving Shopping 2015: What Stores Are Open, Closed?

CHICAGO (CBS) -- According to the National Retail Federation, about one-third of deal-seeking shoppers hit the stores on Thanksgiving Day last year.

And while most people prefer (65 percent) to wait until Friday, it's a trend that has been growing in recent years.

This year, the NRF estimates 135.8 million shoppers will be in stores over the four-day weekend.

However, as more stores have pushed their hours deeper into the actual holiday (Thanksgiving sales at Meijer, for example, now start at 7 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day; J.C. Penney is opening at 3 p.m.), some retailers have pushed back and will remain closed next Thursday.

Here is a list of stores that will be open or closed on Thanksgiving.

While hours will vary on Thanksgiving, most stores will start offering deals late in the afternoon or early evening (generally 6 p.m.), still giving families time to enjoy a feast before hitting the mall. Check this site for hours.
