Woman Kidnapped From Oak Park Home Located In Hospital

UPDATE: 2:03 p.m. 11/23/15

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police say a woman believed to have been kidnapped from a home in Oak Park has been located at a suburban hospital.

Oak Park police said 31-year-old Sherman Henderson is believed to have abducted his ex-girlfriend from a home in the 600 block of Forest Avenue, where she was house-sitting shortly before midnight Sunday night.

The 30-year-old woman was located at a suburban hospital and is being treated for minor injuries, police said.

A witness told police he saw a man forcing a woman into a silver 2006 Dodge Magnum around 11:50 p.m., and then fleeing south on Forest Avenue.

When police arrived at the scene, they found the back door of the home had been forced open.

River Forest police spotted the Dodge Magnum heading west on Chicago Avenue, but the driver eluded a traffic stop. Police have located the vehicle, but not the suspect.
