The girl suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where her condition was stabilized.

About five minutes earlier in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, a man was shot during an attempted robbery. The man, 35, was in the 4200 block of West Van Buren Street at 10:40 p.m. when two males walked up, displayed a gun and tried to rob him, police said. One of them shot him in the upper right leg and they ran off without taking anything. The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized.

About 7:50 p.m., a 19-year-old man was shot in the back in the South Shore neighborhood's 2600 bock of East 74th Place, police said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition.

At that same time, a man was shot in the leg in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
