Blackhawks' Patrick Kane Extends Points Streak To 20 Games

By Chris Emma--

CHICAGO (CBS) -- When you're red hot, the breaks go your way. Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane is on fire.

Kane extended his points streak to 20 consecutive games in the second period of Tuesday's game with the Wild, when he received a pass right in front of the net on a power play. While Kane had tons of time, he managed to mishit the shot and didn't get it cleanly, but the puck still found its way through the legs of Wild goaltender Devan Dubnyk.

With his 15th goal of the season, Kane brought the streak to 20 games, bolstering the record for American-born players. The all-time record is 51 by Wayne Gretzky, who owns three of the top four longest streaks. The Blackhawks' record is 21, set by Bobby Hull.

Kane's goal made it a 1-1 game in the second period. View the goal below.
