Blackhawks' Patrick Kane Named The NHL's First Star Of The Month

(CBS) Currently riding a 19-game point streak, Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane has been named the NHL's First Star of the month for November, the league announced Tuesday.

Kane led the NHL with 15 assists and 23 in November, when he recorded at least one point in all 13 games as Chicago went 7-3-3. Kane currently leads the league with 37 points.

Kane's point streak is the longest by any player since the 2010-'11 season and is the longest in NHL history by an American-born player.

Capitals goalie Braden Holtby was the Second Star of the month, while Avalanche center Matt Duchene was the Third Star.
