(CBS) After a 26-20 overtime loss to the 49ers on Sunday afternoon at Soldier Field dropped his team to 5-7, Bears coach John Fox stressed that he’ll keep a keen eye on evaluating players down the stretch with Chicago’s playoff chances being all but dead.

“We evaluate it every day,” Fox said in an interview with Josh Liss on WBBM Newsradio on Monday morning. “We’ll bring the team in and look at it, and that’s all positions.”

“You evaluate and do what’s best for the team moving forward,” Fox said. “We got the final quarter of our season, four games remaining. A lot can happen. You can end up 5-11 or 9-7. Somewhere, we have to figure out who we are and what we are. That’ll determine it.”
