CHICAGO (CBS) -- The breakout season for the upstart Chicago Cubs clearly captured the fancy of web users locally.

According to Google's breakdown of search trends for 2015, "Chicago Cubs" was the top overall search topic.

For news, terrorism topped the list, with searches related to the attacks in Paris (No. 1) and San Bernardino (No. 6) both in the top 10. Information about the Chicago Blackhawks' Stanley Cup victory parade rounded out the top 10.

Top Movie? Straight Outta Compton.

Top Person? Lamar Odom. The former NBA player, who's married to Khloe Kardashian, was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel and has struggled to recover.
