Man Killed In Portage Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 28-year-old man died early Christmas Day after he was shot in Portage, Indiana.
Joshua Smith, of the 2400 block of Wells Street in Lake Station, was pronounced dead at 1:22 a.m. Dec. 25 at Methodist Northlake Hospital in Gary, according to a statement from the Lake County coroner's office.
Smith was shot in the 5400 block of Mulberry Avenue in Portage, the coroner's office said. His death was ruled a homicide.
Additional details on the shooting was not immediately available.
