Handful Of Protesters Demonstrate Outside Bears Game

(CBS) -- A handful of protesters planned to disrupt the Bears game Sunday at Soldier Field. But there were so few that it didn't go as planned.

Despite the freezing weather, about six people gathered at the intersection of Michigan and Roosevelt.

They were then joined by about three others and decided to march toward the football stadium.

Ja'Mal Green has been part of many protests in the city since the Laquan McDonald video was released.

"We all need a break sometimes," Green said. "We take our day break or two days or three days but we get back at it. We gotta let them know that this is not going to stop until we have change, until we have new leadership, until we have a new CPD culture, until we have resources in the black communities."

Laquan is the teenager that was fatally shot 16 times by a police officer in October of 2014.

Green says they'll continue to protest so that people don't forget about what happened and they'll continue to call on those in power to be held accountable.
