Versteeg played two stints with the Blackhawks, winning the Stanley Cup in 2010 and 2015. He was traded with Joakim Nordstrom in September as part of Chicago’s effort to clear cap space.

Now as a key player with the Hurricanes, Versteeg has 10 goals and 20 assists in 49 games. He still reflects fondly on his time in Chicago.
