Bears Sign Tackle Bobby Massie To 3-Year Deal

By Chris Emma--

(CBS) The Bears signed 26-year-old offensive tackle Bobby Massieto a three-year deal on Wednesday, the opening day of NFL free agency.

A 6-foot-6, 316-pound natural right tackle, Massie has played four seasons and 54 games with the Cardinals, making 46 starts in that span. He started 30 games the last two seasons.

The Bears plan to move Kyle Long back to guard, the Sun-Times' Adam Johns reported, part of the reason for signing Massie.

Teams of the deal haven't been announced, and the team has yet to make the deal official. Chicago also signed linebacker Danny Trevathan to a four-year deal shortly after the NFL's new year began at 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Bleacher Report's Jason Cole first reported the Massie news.
