(CBS) -- More than $38,000 has been raised for a Park Forest police officer who was shot in the line of duty a week ago, reports WBBM's Nancy Harty.

Hundreds of people have contributed to a GoFundMe campaign set up for Officer Tim Jones.

According to a message on the site, Jones remains in critical condition. Police say the 24-year-old was shot in the head last Saturday while responding to a call of break-in.
