Police Warn Of Northwest Side Robberies
CHICAGO (STMW) -- Chicago Police are warning residents of armed robberies over the last two days in the Belmont Cragin and Hermosa neighborhoods on the Northwest Side.
The robberies occurred:
• at 5:45 a.m. April 8 in the 3100 block of North Parkside Avenue;
• at 3:45 a.m. April 9 in the 5100 block of West Wolfram Street;
• at 4:50 am. April 9 in the 2100 block of North Kildare Avenue; and
• at 5 a.m. April 9 in the 2500 block of North Central Avenue.
One or more suspect approached people on the street, pulled out a gun and demanded their property, according to a community alert from police.
One suspect is described as a 6-foot, 200-250 pound black man, between 30 to 40 years old with a physical impairment on his face, police said. Another suspect is described as a 5-foot-6 Hispanic man, between 30 to 40 years old.
