Metcalf noted that all the following songs are all about motivation and staying in the mindset to keep your workouts on track.

Acapulco - The Ambush-Nyana.

Nyana is an album by Trance  DJ and producer, Tiesto, and Acapulco - The Ambush is on disc one of the two-disc set.  Disc one is entitled "Outdoors" (appropriate for running, wouldn't you say?) and the second is called "Indoors.  Metcalf says, "Love this song for warm up work because it makes me move and gets me into that groove space of a 5.71mph pace- 145 bpm -
a Euro drum sound with energy."
Just Like Heaven - The Cure. "At 145 bpm, it's  a good warm up song to get you through the first mileage," the fitness expert explains, "that is also easy to catch your breath and sing along." The 1987 tune was The Cure's first American hit and still inspires smoky eye makeup among fans everywhere.
Party Rock Anthem - LMFAO. The EDM tongue-in-cheek duo, LMFAO, seems to produce songs that runners adore and this 150 bpm tune doesn't disappoint the dedicated. "It's a good one with a blend of songs you can sing along with but keep that feel good energy," Metcalf says.

Don't Matter- Kings of Leon. Who would have thought the familial band from the south would keep runners motivated? Perhaps the fact that the brothers grew up listening to their father preach the gospel has something to do with staying in line. Metcalf says that the deluxe version of Mechnical Bull (the album) simply "pushes me with hard rock."  If it doesn't make you move, check your pulse.

Light it up remix (featuring Nyla & Fuse) - Major Lazer. "It a g

reat upbeat sound with a little Jamaica feel and I love it to keep me on pace," the trainer explains. At 150 bpm, the electronic music remix is hypnotically motivating. Elastic Heart - Sia. "Staying with the international flair, I like the song because it allows me to quickstep; shorter stride quicker turnover," according to Metcalf. Better an elastic heart than elastic pants (if you don't keep up with your program), eh?

Sun Goes Down - Robin Schultz (featuring Jasmine )Thompson. Metcalf says that the 145 bpm radio remix "is my transition to knowing my run is almost over... just thinking  about the sun going down on me, helps me get ready to finish up."
Rather Be - Clean Bandit -featuring Jess Glynne. "Aspirational words paired with a great beat to keep me going that last mile," she says.
Confident - Demi Lovato - The name may say it all. "At 130 bpm from start to finish, I want to feel as good as I can and the song not only reiterates my confidence but carries me into my next activity," Metcalf concludes.
